She came, she saw and she did conquer the hearts of one and all. Yes…we are talking about the girl with the billion dollar smile- Sonam Kapoor- who was the guest of honour at this exclusive Meet-N-Greet event organized by Bollywood Hungama. Looking like a true style icon, Sonam arrived at the venue to a thunderous applause from her fans who had been waiting to get up, close and personal with her.
After a brief round of introductions, Sonam straight jumped into the Q-n-A round as her fans had all sorts of questions for her. When a young fan asked Sonam the secret behind her weight loss, Sonam said, "Exercise and strict diet control for a year…I still exercise as I have a tendency to put on weight. Besides I simply love food so there is no other shortcut for me than to exercise."
Sonam also spoke about her eagerly awaited film Aisha which releases on Aug 6. The actress said, "Aisha is an adaptation of Jane Austen's Emma, though we have modified it a bit to suit the Indian context. We've had such a blast shooting for this film as it was a young team. The schedule in Rishikesh was a lot of fun. I can't wait for the audience's reaction when the film releases." In Aisha, Sonam is paired opposite the charming Abhay Deol. The film has been produced by Rhea Kapoor (Sonam's sister) and Anil Kapoor in association with PVR Pictures. Director Rajshree Ojha makes her debut with this film.
After the Q-n-A round it was time for some fun and frolic as two young contest winners got a chance to shake a leg with Sonam to the beats of the foot-tapping number 'Gal Meethe Meethe Bol'. This was surely a moment that the two lucky winners will cherish for the rest of their lives.
Finally, it was time for the contest winners to get an opportunity to be clicked alongside Sonam Kapoor. In spite of having returned just a day earlier from a hectic shooting schedule of Mausam in Edinburgh, Sonam happily and patiently posed with each of her fans much to their delight. Way to go babe!
